The Kindle has been the first truly mass market e-book reader and increasingly publishers, including local ones, are looking to provide Kindle editions in addition to print.
Digital Birmingham, The New Optimists and Birmingham City Council Web Services Team have joined together to put on a workshop to go through the process of publishing your text to the Kindle. The course will cover :-
- A Walk Around The Kindle
- Preparing Your Text
- Kindle Document Publishing
- Formatting text
- Publishing your blog
- Publishing to other e-Book formats
- Promoting your e-Book
The course is free to attend, and you'll get lunch. In return we ask that you agree to contribute towards producing a Kindle version of some of the essays from The New Optimists. There will be more work of this kind in the future.
